Ezekiel Elliott Returns to the Dallas Cowboys

Cowboys and Running Back Agree to Terms on Contract

The Dallas Cowboys have announced that they have agreed to terms on a contract with running back Ezekiel Elliott. The deal, which brings Elliott back to the Cowboys after a one-year stint with the New England Patriots, is reportedly for a one-year, $10 million contract.

Elliott's Previous Season

Elliott, who turns 29 in July, finished the 2023 season with 642 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 184 carries, a career-low 3.5 yards per carry.

Despite his somewhat lackluster performance last season, Elliott remains a valuable asset to the Cowboys. He is a physical runner who can pick up tough yards and is also a capable receiver out of the backfield.

Elliott's Return to Dallas

Elliott's return to Dallas is a significant development for the Cowboys, who have struggled to find a consistent running game in recent years. Elliott will be expected to lead the backfield and provide a much-needed boost to the Cowboys' offense.

The Cowboys are hoping that Elliott can regain the form that made him one of the most feared running backs in the NFL during his first five seasons in Dallas. If he can do that, the Cowboys should be a much more competitive team in 2024.
